The 2004 Girls Red and Coach Zack Trobaugh made Tennessee United club history on June 2nd in Murfreesboro when they dominated the U14 age group of the TSSA State Cup and raised the trophy as 2017/2018 Division 1 State Champions.  After taking home Finalist medals at last year’s State Cup, the girls came into the tournament after having a productive year in the Southern Regional Premier League.  The team rolled through their first two challenges by beating Knoxville FC Crush Monaco 7-1 and Tennessee Soccer Club’s Showcase team 5-0.  The following weekend’s game proved slightly more challenging with an exciting overtime 2-0 victory over Chattanooga FC Academy Premier.   The team has now set their sights on the 2018 US Youth Soccer Southern Regionals in Greensboro, North Carolina on June 21st– 28th.

The first trip to the TSSA State Cup for the 2005 Boys Red coached by Coach Eddie Carvacho proved to be an exceptional one as they earned the 2017/2018 U13 Division 1 State Champions title in Murfreesboro on June 2nd.  Their tournament prep came in the form of a season in the Southern Regional Premier League after a successful fall in state league play.  By beating Nashville United Soccer Academy Maroon 2-0, the boys moved on to the semi-finals against Chattanooga FC Academy Premier where they came away with a hard-fought, overtime 4-2 and a spot in the finals. The exciting State Cup run ended with a victory over Germantown Legends Black 4-1, but the 2005 Boys Red season continues on as the prepare for the 2018 US Youth Soccer Southern Regionals in Greensboro, North Carolina on June 21st– 28th.

The last trip to the TSSA State Cup Tournament for some of the 2000 Girls Red and players and Coach Brian Davies was a bittersweet one as they took home the 2017/2018 U18 Division 1 State Finalist medal on June 2ndin Murfreesboro.  The team qualified to go straight to the semi-finals where they faced and beat Tennessee Soccer Club’s Showcase team.  The 1-0 victory allowed them to move on to the finals – the third trip to the finals for some of the players.  It was a great game, but in the end they fell 0-1 to Chattanooga FC Premier.

Coming in seeded 6th of 8 teams, the 2005 Girls Red had an uphill climb in the U13 Division 2 TSSA State Cup, but the team persevered and ultimately became the 2017/2018 State Finalists in their first state tournament appearance in Murfreesboro on June 2nd.  Coach Adam Grant and the girls stayed focused and were able to fight through and win two overtime, penalty kick shoot out victories against Nashville United Soccer Academy and Camp Forest Futbol Club.  In the finals the team faced Tennessee Soccer Club Premier where they ultimately fell short by one goal in the final minutes of the second over time period.
