TUSC accepts invitation to National Premier Leagues South Atlantic Premier League and US Club Southeastern Clubs Champions League

GOODLETTSVILLE/HENDERSONVILLE, TN — Tennessee United Soccer Club is thrilled to be participating in the National Premier Leagues through our acceptance in the South Atlantic Premier League.  The National Premier Leagues is a national competition platform sanctioned by US Club Soccer that links competition with player development and identification platforms.

As TUSC was going through the process of league and competition evaluation, there were three criteria that came to the forefront.  We want to have guaranteed high level league play for our players.  We want to provide Regional and National competition on a consistent basis.  We want to provide consistent college recruitment exposure.  We have found those opportunities that effectively meet each of these requirements.

Steve Henson, TUSC Executive Director.  “We are honored and humbled to have been accepted into the National Premier Leagues. The NPL Core Standards align with the TUSC Core Values which place players first. The player development and exposure achieved by being a member of the NPL will be a great benefit for all the boys and girls at TUSC.”

The South Atlantic Premier League has graciously accepted TUSC into their league.  The upcoming season will be a transition year for the Girls side of that league.  Due to this, TUSC has also secured an invitation to participate in the Southeastern Clubs Champions League (SCCL).  The SCCL is a top-flight league formed by major clubs across the Southeast under the auspices of US Club Soccer with high level competition and exposure.

Eddie Carvacho, TUSC U13-U19 Director of Coaching. ” We are very grateful and excited to join the SCCL for the upcoming season. We are very thankful of their leadership for seeing the strength of our club and for extending our female players an invitation to join. Our girls teams will have the opportunity to compete in a strong regional league on a consistent basis. This will allow our players to be challenged and to experience different levels of competition. The league also offers a pathway to further regional and national championship competition under the US Club Soccer umbrella. Our goal is to continue to offer and provide competitive environments that will undoubtedly enhance and assist our players and teams overall development growth. We believe this is a great step forward and we can’t wait to get started.”

For the upcoming season TUSC U12-U19 Girls Red teams will compete in the SCCL and the U13-U19 Boys Red teams will compete in the SAPL.  Those schedules are being finalized currently and will not affect HS Soccer.  Both leagues are centered around Atlanta, so most of the travel will be in that vicinity.

TUSC Blue and White teams will continue to compete in State League competitions, however due to US Club allowing larger rosters, there will be SCCL and SAPL opportunities.  Our Juniors, Academy, and U11/12 Boys and U11 Girls structure and format will not be changed.

This is truly a great accomplishment.  We wish to thank our Directors, Coaches, Players, and Families for their commitment to TUSC.  Their dedication and standards have been the key factors that have provided the opportunities for current and future generations of TUSC players to compete at the highest level and maximize their opportunity to reach their goals in soccer and life.
